About Us
In 1883 J W Kitson formed Kitsons Insulations specialising in thermal insulation. In 1965 the firm was floated on the London Stock Exchange as a Public Limited Company and, in 1974, the shares were purchased by Pilkington Bros of St Helens. In 1991 two of the Kitsons Companies were sold to G & H Montage GmbH of Germany.
Kitsons Environmental Europe Limited was then formed in 1993 to provide asbestos removal services in main land Europe, particularly in Germany. This was a successful venture and in it was decided that this company would also take responsibility for works in the United Kingdom.
In 1997 the company was separated from its former group and immediately diversified to provide a greater range of services initially adding industrial insulation and progressively developing into scaffolding, fire protection and other services and is now able to offer a full range of multi-discipline activities.
Operating to recognised safety and Quality Standards became an immediate priority, resulting in accreditation to ISO 9001, ES ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
